Vascular Surgery: A Comprehensive Review
Published in Hardcover by W B Saunders (15 December, 2001)
Author: Wesley S. Moore
Average review score:

A tour-de-force of clinical neorealism
A literary world desperately in need of fresh blood has gotten an especially tasty and satisfying transfusion in Vascular Surgery: A Comprehensive Review. The veins sing, the arteries cry, and John Updike would give his right arm and three fingers of his left hand to bring a graft to life the way Dr. Moore does in these pages. Words fail me. Just buy the damned thing.

Average review score:

Was inspiring and motivating!
As a newby to 'direct sales', I found this book to be inspiring and motivating. I was starting to get discouraged with the progress that I was making, but after reading the success stories and tips from other women who have suceeded against some pretty tough odds, not the least, their own self doubt, I was inspired to continue giving it my best shot. I will recommend this book to my friends who may be struggling with making ends meet, particularly my women friends.

Visions of Culture: Anthropological Theories and Theorists
Published in Textbook Binding by Altamira Pr (05 November, 1996)
Author: Jerry D. Moore
Average review score:

Any Anthropology student should have...
"Visions of Culture" is an essential book for any student of anthropology. It would be wrong to consider this book a textbook though. It is more of a reference on specific theorists. What Moore does is to write concise, informative chapters on each of the major anthropological theorists. He begins with biographical data, and goes on to discuss their theories. It is an indispensible reference for the student of culture. I reference it more than any other individual anthropology book.

A Visit from Saint Nicholas
Published in Hardcover by H E Huntington Library & Art (January, 1998)
Authors: Clement Clarke Moore, Sara S. Hodson, and Sue Hodson
Average review score:

one of 2 of the best version ever.
I know there are many books on the famous poem, but this one has illustrations from way back in 1869. Like old Victorian Christmas cards, this captures the artwork of it's time. Along with a copy of the handwritten poem and the first class artwork, makes this an awesome gift to treasure, and to pass down the generations.

The other fantastic version is again a reproduction of the poem, (Philomel Books)McLoughlin Bros.,but from 1888,with Santa in a green coat.

These are the two books you will ever need to partner the classic old poem. Both hardback, and from Amazon.com

Voices from the Heart: In Celebration of America's Volunteers
Published in Hardcover by Chronicle Books (December, 1998)
Authors: Brian O'Connell, Rebecca Buffum Taylor, Brian C'Connell, and Thomas Moore
Average review score:

The interviews are descriptive and the pictures are intense.
Brian O'Connell's Voices From The Heart, profiles 25 active volunteers from around the United States. The volunteers range in age and all are working on a variety of projects that help make the world a better place. The new book is perfect for a coffee table or holiday gift. I read many profiles on my way back from San Francisco and I couldn't put the book down.

Wall Street
Published in Paperback by Fraser Publishing Co. (September, 1997)
Author: William C. Moore
Average review score:

One of the best trading books ever written
This book is so good that it should be legally required reading before a trader is permitted to conduct his/her speculations.

Originally published in 1921, in its short, easy to read, 144 pages, it convincingly covers market manipulation, stocks, bonds, public speculation, short selling, hedging, insiders, greed, trading rules and trading psychology.

Yes, 98% of this book is still highly relevant today. It fits the markets of 2002 better than most of the bubble era trading and investing books.

Many of the 1921 manipulations and scams are now illegal, but as we've learned in 2001 and 2001, that doesn't mean they no longer exist.

Water and Architecture
Published in Hardcover by Harry N Abrams (April, 1994)
Authors: Charles W. Moore and Jane Lidz
Average review score:

Feast for eyes-sublime combination of prose & images
Water and Architecture is chocolate cake with vanilla-bean ice cream: A combination of two elements-Moore's prose and Lidz's images-that are wonderful on their own, but sublime in combination. The book is a feast for the eyes, with pictures and words so powerful as to be an evocation of sound and smell and taste and touch. What a beautiful finale for the proflific and beloved AIA Gold Medalist Charles Moore. What a showcase for the work of award-winning photographer Jane Lidz. What a pellucid and moving explanation of the relationship between water-oceans, fountains, canals and pools-and architecture. No one-especially no architect-could not love this beautiful book.
